Autogem can prove that small really is beautiful, courtesy of our most compact and lightweight TPMS sensor to date, known as Gemini.

Suitably named after the star sign which can talk to anyone, Gemini is also adept at communicating with virtually all vehicle manufacturers, saving significant amounts of time and money for aftermarket customers in the process.

The sensors, which are smaller and lighter than our previous offering, arrive in the shape of a new single-sensor body and come pre-mounted with interchangeable valve stems.

The new design offers a number of benefits to the technician, with quicker, one action fitment. Simply pull the rubber valve sensor into place or fasten the locking nut of the clamp in metal valve sensor to the rim. The lighter weight of the sensor also reduces its impact on wheel balancing, reducing time on the job and consumable usage.

The investment also underlines our commitment to our award-winning portfolio of products, which will benefit from continual evolution over the course of the year as we aim to strengthen our position as a leading provider of diverse aftermarket solutions.

As is now standard on all of our new products, free training and support is available from the packaging, via a QR code, with methods for programming blank sensors and correct fitting processes provided. Additional help is available through our tech support line or online as required.

The fixed-angle stem is optimised to work with the many different wheel profiles available and despite going for a smaller size, our market leading long battery life has not been compromised.

In more good news to existing customers, we will continue with the same part numbers that everyone is used to, with TPS01 and TPS03 coming with fixed angle metal and rubber valves respectively.

In addition, no TPMS tools will need to be upgraded either, with i-sensor and i-sensor® pro handsets still 100% compatible with Gemini.

Managing Director Prashant Chopra said: “i-sensor Gemini includes the latest, state-of-the-art internal chipsets to ensure that each sensor is as reliable as we’ve become so respected for.

“The new lighter weight sensor represents a small but important step on our sustainability drive and remains compatible with all existing i-sensor tools, so there is no need for any kind of equipment upgrade to enjoy the benefits of Gemini. All you need to do is make sure that your tools are updated to the latest software.

“It also serves as a further show of strength, as we continue to invest in our people and products to remain at the forefront of our customers minds whenever they are thinking of new revenue streams or increased efficiencies.”

Software updates to version 1.64 are available free of charge, but customers will already be Gemini- ready if their tool is on at version 1.58 or newer. If an update is needed, we are inviting customers to contact their tech support team and request the latest update files.
